What is Anosan?

Anosan is an organic solution that can be used as a sanitizer, disinfectant, deodorizer, or surface cleaner. Its versatility is what makes it unique in the market due to its many uses. It is typically used (but not limited to) in the following ways: you can include it in your humidifier to disinfect your air at home or office, use it as a hand sanitizer, or clean and disinfect any surface.

Furthermore, Anosan is 100% organic and is derived from 100% mineral origins. It is both chemical and alcohol free; therefore, non-toxic and non-irritant. This makes it the number one choice for pregnant women, families with kids including newborns and pets.
What is the active ingredient?

Electrochemically activated sodium chloride or anolyte solution/hypochlorous acid (HOCl).

What is the technology behind Anosan?
Using salt, water and electricity (in a process called electrolysis): the solution hypochlorous acid (HOCl) is formed. A plethora of studies have been made about HOCl being nature’s germ killer. It is a weak acid that occurs naturally in our body; Anosan is derived from natural sources and is, in fact, considered bio identical as all ingredients and trace byproducts are available in similar percentages in the human body.

Anosan is made up of a solution that has been highly regarded to be the perfect weapon to fight germs. What makes it even more impressive is that it is 100% safe for humans due to it being chemical free, non-toxic, and all-natural.
What separates Anosan from other HOCl or anolyte solutions?
HOCl was first developed during World War I before the creation of antibiotics. During this time, the need to irrigate and disinfect wounds of injured soldiers. HOCl was used to treat wounds and even neutralize chemical burns. However, due to the lack of technology back then, the HOCl solutions were unstable and inconsistent since they had to be made and mixed by hand.

Since then, the world has developed a revolutionary technology called Electro Chemical Activation (ECA) that helps stabilize the HOCl solution making it more stable and consistent. ECA is used to create powerful and entirely safe disinfectants and cleaning solutions.

Anosan is manufactured using a process called ECALIT (Electro Chemical Activation Low Ion Transfer). The ECALIT process was developed and spearheaded by Dr. Kurt Kaehn, a chemist and microbiologist, alongside Alexej Gaas, a chemical engineer, back in 2011. The ECALIT process was developed in cooperation with eca biomed GmbH & Co. KG in order to provide mensurable product qualities for defined applications. This allows for Anosan to have a longer shelf life, be more stable, and have a more consistent formula.
What is ORP or redox potential?
ORP stands for Oxidation-Reduction Potential (or redox potential) and is the measurement of sanitizer effectiveness in water. The usual and normal ORP of other anolyte solution is less than 750mV. The higher the ORP, the more effective and powerful the solution will sanitizing. Anosan is a powerful oxidant (900mV to 950 mV) that can kill microbial pathogens immediately upon contact by damaging cell walls or inactivate the pathogen by entering and disrupting proteins, lipids, and DNA.
Has this been thoroughly researched?
Not only has Anosan and its technology been researched and studied, it has also been proven and tested by a large number of reputable institutions worldwide. In the last 30 years we have collected over 300 published research articles supporting the use of Electro-Chemically Activated (ECA) water.

Nearly every common bacterial pathogen has been studied such as E. coli, Salmonella, Listeria, Vibrio, Staphylococcus, MRSA, spore forming bacteria, and many common viruses (including Norovirus, SARS, MERS, and SARS-CoV-2), and fungi.
If Anosan is organic, is it safe to ingest?
Yes! Due to its organic properties, Anosan is food contact safe. This means it can be used around and on food. You may use Anosan to clean your food as it is safe to be ingested in small dosages. Some of our customers who are medical practitioners have even used the Anosan NR solution to gargle and disinfect their toothbrushes. It is also the reason why dental hygienists choose to use Anosan in their procedures.
Is Anosan safe for the skin?
The problem with alcohol sanitizer and disinfectants is that its chemical compounds can be risky. Countless of hospitals and medical institutions have released PSAs regarding the hazardous nature of frequently relying on such sanitizers.

Reasons include:

- It can cause skin irritation: alcohol sanitizers and disinfectants include chemicals such as contain chemicals such as alcohol, chlorhexidine, chloroxylenol, and triclosan which strips the skin of its natural oils. This disrupts the skin's natural moisture barrier making it more susceptible to bacteria.

- It can result in dry and broken skin: alcohols in sanitizers include  isopropyl, ethanol, and n-propanol, which can dry and damage skin cells, making the risk of getting contact dermatitis is higher.

- It can result in antibiotic resistance making you more at risk for infections: there is an active ingredient in hand sanitizers called triclosan, which is in charge of the development of antibiotic-resistant bacteria. When you use hand sanitizers way too often, bacteria and other pathogens start to build up resistance to antibiotics, making you more at risk for infections.

- It may contain harmful and unknown ingredients: a lot of hand sanitizers may contain unknown ingredients that could be toxic. Plenty of hand sanitizers use fragrances that can cause skin irritation, allergic reactions, and hormone disturbance.

- It can weaken your immune system: a study showed that high levels of triclosan in children and teens made them vulnerable to allergies and hay fever.

Anosan has been dermatologically tested and approved. It is a hypoallergenic and non-irritant solution. Anosan has a natural pH value and is applicable to mucous/mucosa to be used for wound disinfection. This makes Anosan uniquely different from 90% of other anolytes that are not pH neutral.
Is Anosan certified or tested?
Anosan is licensed by the Swiss Agency BAG and an FDA approved product in the Philippines. The Federal Office of Public Health (FOPH) in Switzerland has also listed Anosan as a disinfectant that is effective in the fight against influenza and coronavirus viruses. It has been also been certified and approved by the following organisations: European Chemicals Agency (ECHA), Robert Koch Institut, DermaTest, Verbund für Angewandte Hygiene e.V., Labor Dr Merk, andInstitut für Hygiene und Umwelt. It also has a TÜV certification.
Where is Anosan from?
Anosan is a Swiss-made product manufactured by Ecabiotec located in Lugano, Switzerland.
Does Anosan have an expiration date?
The shelf life of Anosan is one year. All our bottles have expiration dates. We strongly recommend consuming the product within that timeframe for maximum effectiveness.
Do I need to dilute the solution with water?
All our Anosan products do not need to be diluted with water. Our finished products have already been properly diluted in accordance to the proper measurements and process involving de-ionized water and concentrated solution. Therefore, we do not recommend tampering with the solution.
What is the difference between Anosan NR and Anosan ECO?
Anosan NR is what we typically recommend for home users such as individuals and families. Anosan ECO has a higher concentration and is more suitable for industrial and heavy-duty use. The latter has a no-wait time in effectiveness.
Will Anosan leave stains?
Anosan will not leave stains as it is non-corrosive. It is also effective in the removal of some mold.
Does Anosan have a foul odor?
Anosan is almost odorless and completely fragrance free.
Can I use Anosan in a humidifier?
Anosan can disinfect and deodorize air. It can be use in humidifiers since it is a water-based solution. It will produce mist but not fog since it does not contain any glycerin (which is what produces fog when a solution containing glycerin is heated to the point of evaporation). Although glycerin is non-toxic, it is not included in Anosan’s solution. Anosan is safe to be ingested; glycerin is not. Therefore, it is not added in our Anosan products.
Can I use Anosan to treat wounds?
Yes! Since it is an HOCl solution (a natural disinfectant), it can be used to treat wounds in human beings. In fact, it can also be used to neutralize chemical burns.

Please note that we are coming out with our Anosan line for pets soon. Stay tuned for updates.
Can I use Anosan to kill mosquitoes and cockroaches?
Insecticides usually contain very strong chemicals, and Anosan, being an all-natural and organic solution, is not effective in killing insects. However, it will clean and disinfect them.
